We’re doing something different this year…are you in for this change?

Hi Vancouver – hard to believe that another year has passed…and that Winspiration Day 2019 – May 7th – is just a few days away.

And for 2019, we have decided to change things up…rather than bringing together our Winspiration Vancouver community, our focus this year is to invite each of you – to inspire each of you – to keep the Winspiration spirit alive on your own…in your own way. And to assist with this endeavour, here is a list of 10 suggestions of what you can do on May 7th, as you reflect on making a positive impact in the world in your own meaningful way:

10 Things You Can Do To Celebrate Winspiration Day

  • Volunteer time at local schools

Spend time helping kids reach their potential by tutoring, mentoring or taking part in an after-school program.

  • Recognize the humanity of others

Treat people as equals, no matter how you interpret their social standing. Consciously realize that the homeless person you pass on the street every day is, in fact, a human being.

  • Be generous

Try being altruistic and see how your life changes. Buy coffee for the person behind you in line at Starbucks, read to children at your local library, or simply stop and listen for the answer when you ask a friend how they’re doing.

  • Spread kindness

Random acts of kindness can go a long way in making the world a better place. Think about a time when someone did something unexpected for you that brightened your day.

  • Foster an animal

If you’re able to part with the foster animals, they leave a hole in your heart, but fostering your next pet helps fill it, and you will be making a difference in the lives of so many animals in need.

  • Create something

Is your passion writing? Painting? Music? Whatever it is, do it. Do it, and finish it. You don’t have to put it out in the world if you are afraid to, but the act of finishing something will change the very energy in the room around you.

  • Reach out to a friend

And let them know you are thinking about them…and how much you appreciate having them in your life.

  • Smile to a stranger

Share your energy; share your positivity…and let them choose what they wish to do with this experience.

  • Write in a journal

About all the amazing aspects of your life, starting with each breath that you take.

  • Be grateful…and share your gratitude with someone special

Know that showing and sharing your gratefulness is one of the richest blessings in your life…and in theirs.

About Winspiration Day

The first Winspiration Day conference was held in Germany in 2003 by Wolfgang Sonnenburg, a very successful businessperson. Wolfgang was convinced there was more to life, and that the world would be a better place if each person gave themselves the opportunity to truly maximize their own talents. In early 2016, Wolfgang asked his friend, Bob Proctor of the Proctor Gallagher Institute, to reach out to his global network to turn Winspiration Day into a global event.

One of the first people to respond to the call from the international inspirational icon was Doris Orr. Doris wanted Vancouver to be part of this global movement which has been inspiring communities across the globe to follow their dreams.

Here‘s What People Who’ve Experienced Winspiration Day Vancouver Are Saying!

Thank you so much for Winspiration. I made a goal – said it out loud to the crowd and was SO inspired to actually do it! Something about that day made it real and tangible. It was to publish 2 papers for my dissertation this year….and I found a journal with a special issue and have been burning the midnight oil to get it written and submitted by January 31.

Stacey

Thank you for putting that workshop together and being so welcoming. I look forward to getting to Winspiration better.

Richard

I was very surprised to experience something completely different than I had expected. It was clear Winspiration understands the difference between motivation and inspiration.
